We would like to inform that on March 23rd, 2012 there will be a celebration of  “Absolute Quiet Day or Icaka New Year 1934″ in Bali.

In regards with this celebration, Balinese  people is strictly prohibited to conduct the following activities :

- No light may be lit
- No work may be done
- No travel may be carried out
- No amusement may be made

To all our valued guests are requested to respect and obey the above matters during that event.

This holiday celebration will start from 06.00 am on March 23rd until 06.00 am on March 24th, 2012.

March 20th, 2012
“Mekiyis or Melasti Ceremony”, the procession of Hindu followers carrying temple effigies to the beach for purification ceremony in welcoming “Nyepi “the Icaka New Year
- The beach will be closed for sea sport activities and everybody is expected to dress politely and properly either on the beach or on the road while the ceremony is on.

March 22nd, 2012
“Tawur Agung Kesanga Ceremony“  is a great sacrificial ceremony offered to the underworld spirits for not disturbing human being’s settlement ( at 12.00 noon ) followed by procession of Ogoh – ogoh , huge doll symbolizing evil spirits in the evening.
- Place : Puputan square , down town of Denpasar city. Square or cross road of town and village throughout Bali

March 23rd, 2012
“Nyepi” holiday, the Icaka New Year 1934, the day of absolute silence for Hindu followers, when no activity is done, no fire is lit, no traveling anywhere and no amusement is held for the day and night
- Movement outside the hotel is strictly prohibited. You must stay inside the hotel
- We request that no lights to switch on at the  balcony or standing outside the balcony area’s facing the road
- All windows / doors and curtains  must be closed
- Ensure that TV / radio is turned down so it is not heard from outside
- Our Food and Beverages Department will remain operates with the below program :
— Breakfast ( Buffet ) : 06.30 am – 10.30 am at GABAH RESTAURANT
— Lunch ( A’la Carte Menu ) : 11.30 am – 5.00 pm at Leisure
— Dinner ( Buffet ) : 6 pm on ward at Laksamana Room ( 2nd Floor Gabah Restaurant )
— Room Service : 06.30 am – 5.00 pm ( last order 4.00 pm)
— 10.00 pm re-open on ward.

Guests activity :
During lunch time there will be some activities available such as : Games, Ping Pong, Chess, Billiard, Backgammon, Cards etc.
At Jepun Bar also conduct COOKING CLASS and COCKTAIL MIXIOLOGY

MEDIA STATEMENT: LEGIONNAIRES DISEASE

This announcement is hereby issued by the Rama Hotels and Resorts Bali on the above captioned subject.

In the past weeks the Australian Media has highlighted that among those who had contracted the Legionnaires Disease, some had resided at the Ramayana Resort & Spa, Bali and singled us out as a resort to refrain when visiting Bali.

We at Rama Hotels and Resorts willfully contest this claim and hereby present to the media, our business partners and our Australian customers that we are completely cleared and NEVER was in anyway involved in the outbreak of the Legionnaires Disease. Certification attached from the Department of Health, Bali and independent testing proves that we are disease free.

We had in fact invited the Department of Health and Ageing (Australia) to visit our Resorts here in Bali and conduct the necessary test. But they have chosen not to respond to our humble request to this date.

We will vehemently oppose any parties who associate us to the Legionnaires Disease and will not hesitate to proceed legal action if need be.

New Year Eve had been past and now we would like to share the story about the New Year Eve Gala Dinner on 31st December 2010 at Ramayana Resort & Spa. The theme for New Year Eve  was taking a theme “One Earth One Family”. The event was started with evening cocktail at Waroeng Jepun for about one hour then continued with Dinner at 19:00. The preparation to welcome this event was perfectly done by the team of Ramayana Resort & Spa and it was excited welcomed by our guests. We could see that they couldn’t wait for the party. During the dinner, our guests were entertained with welcome balinese dance, bartending flair, sexy dance, and live band.

We also provided lucky draw for our guests.. The lucky draw was drawn at the end of the event lead by our MC.
The venue of dinner was prepared at Gabah Restaurant, garden and gabah Lounge.. We assigned the chairs for the guest with numbers and it was easily us to trace the seat while escorting them.

The celebration of Lebaran in Ramayana Resort & Spa was welcomed with joy. We presented lebaran buffet dinner on 10, 11, and 12 of September and the venue was at Gabah Restaurant and Gabah Terrace Lounge. Found ketupat and opor completed with fresh lebaran cookies at Lebaran buffet dinner. Best of the Best Flair & Bartending competition recently was held at Gabah Terrace Lounge of Ramayana Resort & Spa. The competiton was done successfully and there were 28 contestant joining in. Best of the best flair & bartending competition was for experienced bartender and the event was divided in two sessions. The first session was on 17th of September for the semi final competition and we chose the best ten of contestants. The final was on the 18th of September and it selected three contestants as the winner. They are Rama as the 1st winner from Ramayana Resort & Spa, the 2nd winner is from 88 and the 3rd winner is from Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bali. They will go to Jakarta to join the National Flair & Bartending Competition.
